COMPANY DRIVERS RECOGNIZED FOR 1 MILLION MILES OF SAFE DRIVING

On March 28, 2016, Perry Engineering lowboy tractor trailer drivers Dale Evans Jr. and Ivan “Smitty” Smith were each given awards for achieving 1 million miles of safe driving. Dale has worked for us for 36 years, while Smitty has 29 years of service. Each received a plaque, a jacket with their name and “1 million safe miles” embroidered on it, and a monetary award. The Winchester Star newspaper interviewed and photographed the event and published a story in the March 29 edition.

Our lowboy tractor trailers are 70 feet long and haul up to 134,000 pounds of oversize construction equipment in heavy traffic and in very tight places at construction sites. It can be a dangerous and stressful job. Mike Perry, Vice President, commended the men for their years of service and excellent safety record. Mike recognized the family aspect of the company in that Dale’s wife Lisa is also a truck driver for the company and Smitty has a son and son-in-law who work for the company.
